The Traditional Episcopal Church of Scotland of THE TRADITIONAL CHURCH OF ENGLAND Under the direct spiritual direction and guidance of the Most Revd. Michael Newman, Bishop of Windlesham and TCE Metropolitan. _____________________________________________________________________________________________________

Warmest greetings to everyone from Fr Harry, St Boisil & St Bede.

It is a joy to be going to print again with the 2008 Autumn edition of our St Boisil & St Bede Newsletter.

Most of you will know by now that after a year of successful collaboration between Windlesham & Norfolk, I have now returned, as your Priest, to my original jurisdiction of the TCE Windlesham, as we continue as before our mission for growth and unity between all traditional churches.

It has been a busy summer  in Lothian and Borders, where we have by kind permission of the 21st  Lady of Traquair, enjoyed worshipping in the beautiful private Roman Catholic Chapel of the once Royal House of  Stuart.  This has been an ecumenical outreach to visitors and tourists who, during the summer months have enjoyed the lovely grounds and house of Traquair.

In addition, we have conducted regular solemn Mass at the historic Chapel of  Seton Collegiate Church of  St Mary & Holy Cross, East of Edinburgh.

This came about after careful negotiation, then kind permission of Historic Scotland, who each Sunday have made us all most welcome at this magnificent site.

I am pleased also to confirm that I have now  received confirmation and signed contract for St Boisil & St Bede, Carrington, to use the Seton Chapel again in Summer 2009, where we are  licensed for two services of solemn Mass monthly, again, open to tourists and visitors of the site.

During the winter, from October to March, we have returned to Carrington for our first and third Sunday monthly services, at the usual time of 11am

Clergy begin to process.

We are blessed in Scotland with many private and old traditional churches, it is good and right that they should be brought into use wherever possible.

Over all it has been a successful summer, where, as a small Anglo-Catholic community of believers we have grown in unity and traditional worship.

The small proceeds from our collections during the summer, meant that we could afford to invest in a rather grand altar cross for our Holy table. In the future we hope to raise enough funds to launch our own parish web site, as a means of reaching out into the community where we live and work, and so, draw people to Jesus through the depth of traditional liturgy and Holy worship.

Do continue to pray for our mission here, as we do for you where you are.
